I do wear makeup pretty much everyday, I simply feel more confident in myself when I wear it. Due to this, I’ve managed to try out plenty of products and in this post I’m going to share the products that I deem good enough to use every day!
Before: no makeup
Moisturiser- Superdrug vitamin E moisturiser
This is a recent purchase but I’ve been using it consistently for 3 weeks now and it’s an amazing start to my makeup. It smells like coconuts and has spf 15 in it meaning you don’t need an extra product! My face has also been less oily since using this which is amazing. If you need a light moisturiser to start of your makeup then this is the one for you!
Primer- Becca backlight priming filter
Used this once and fell in love! It’s illuminating and blurring. I never used to believe in blurring primers but this one does as it said; I almost opted to not wearing foundation which would be a first for me, it was that good! If I had to recommend a primer to splurge on, this would take top place! On non makeup days I sometimes only use this so I can still get a glow and even skin without having to bother with foundation and highlight.
Eyeshadow- Morphe 24G Grand Glam palette
Since the beginning of fall, I’ve been using 2 pink toned shades to buff into my crease every day just to add a pop of colour to my look. It makes my eyes look wider and my whole appearance look more put together. If I’m feeling a little extra then I’ll add a champagne shimmer to my lid. I’ve noticed that this makes my green eyes pop a little more.
Foundation- Revolution Conceal and Define foundation
I mentioned this in my October favourites and it’s the foundation that my hand reaches towards when I’m beginning my base. It’s full coverage and none cakey and it lasts well on my oily skin throughout the day. If you’re looking for flawless skin then this is your best friend. I like that it’s lightweight yet still delivers a flawless coverage. You can build it up or wear it naturally.
Concealer- Estée Lauder Double Wear concealer
Despite the matching foundation being a let-down, this concealer is the best I’ve used! It’s creamy, blends out well and delivers full coverage that hides my blatantly obvious dark circles, it’s a winner. I also love this concealer for no foundation days as it blends seamlessly on my bare skin too.
Powder- Rimmel Match Perfection loose powder
I never do my makeup without using this. I’m the queen of oily skin and if I didn’t set my makeup with powder then I’d be risking a horror show on my face. This powder is light weight, stays matte and smells good. What more could you need in a powder?
Contour- Benefit Hoola
You’ve heard of it everywhere, it’s a favourite of many. Benefit’s Hoola is the perfect contour shades for the chiselled look but also provides warmth to the face for a natural sun kissed touch. Also, pale skinned people can now enjoy Hoola’s magical powers with the fairly new Lite version! I love to take a big brush to swirl this on and add warmth but when contouring I actually really like the brush that comes in the hoola; it feels my cheeks so well!
Blush- Revolution sweet heart
Do I see a Too Faced dupe? These ultra-pigmented blush provides a perfect flush of colour though please apply with a light-hand or you’ll end up looking like a clown as I did when I first wore it. This is an extremely high quality product, especially for the drugstore. I love the shimmer it gives and it can easily be used for a healthy-looking face!
Highlighter- Mac Soft and Gentle
I generally switch up my highlighter as my collection seems to never stop growing! However, I tend to reach for Mac soft and gentle the most as it never lets me down! It’s a gorgeous champagne colour and the pay off is blinding! As well as being mirror-like, it can also be worn naturally and its versatility is what causes me to choose it the most. I purchased this for my 16th birthday and I still haven’t hit pan. It’s probably past it’s use by date now but it still performs as good as when I first bought it!
Eyebrows- Anastasia Cream contour kit
Unlikely right? I’d never have thought that I’d use a contour kit for my eyebrows either but it really does work! The creamy formulas means it applies with ease and it can be applied with light strokes to make your eyebrows look natural or you can really achieve the insta brow that the models post all over. I tend to apply with a light hand and it gives the perfect natural brow for an everyday look.
Mascara- Maybelline Lash Sensational
After curling my lashes, I apply this and it never fails to blow me away! It separates my lashes, lengthens them and adds the perfect volume! I could not recommend this enough!
Setting spray- Revolution setting spray
This setting spray honestly rivals the all nighter one from Urban Decay. It sets my makeup in place all day and the small bottle lasts for absolutely ages! If you’re on a budget, be sure to pick up one of these! It isn’t quite upto standard of the all nighter but it definitely works.
I hope this post persuaded you to buy a product! Please share a make up item you use every day in the comments below!
