It’s that time again where I get to share my bullet journal spreads with you! These are probably my favourite posts as I love to show how creative I get and I know that I’ll be able to look back on them and see how much I improve!
I’m so happy with my January bullet journal theme and hopefully you love it as much as I do!
January bullet journal cover page!
So this month I have gone for a stars theme which I think is so cute and I’m so happy with how this turned out! I also love the colour schemes for this month as I love purple and I think the grey ties in nicely with it too!
As you might be able to tell, I have no clues about constellations. That’s why some may have questionable shapes, such as the one shaped like a house! If I’m being honest, I’m not sure why I did choose this theme but I’m glad I did! I could have gone for a new year’s bullet journal theme. It would have tied in nicely for January but this one really caught my attention when scrolling Pinterest!
Another thing to keep in mind is that I kept the same bullet journal that I was using before Christmas as I was nowhere near the end of this notebook and I think it would’ve been pointless to buy a new one for the new year, especially since they’re not cheap.
Mood tracker
I love creating mood trackers for my bullet journal and this one for January is probably one of my favourites! It was so fun to draw at the little moon, stars and planets!
At the bottom, I have included 4 emotions as I feel this covers the most basic ones and usually, in my bullet journal, I can categorise my emotions into one of these 4. Again, I’ve included the stars to fit the theme and the doodles around the title are so cute!
Monthly bullet journal spread
For this month, I went quite minimalistic with the calendar. That’s because generally I use the weekly spreads to write down events rather than this one. The font also really impressed me on this page, I wasn’t expecting it to come out so well!
I do however, like to write my goals on these spreads in my bullet journal and January was no exception! The goals this month are more emotional and me gal rather than practical. I want this to be an amazing year and what better time to start than January?
Quote page
I always have a quote page in my bullet journal and more often than not, they’re bible quotes! This one particularly stood out on Pinterest because of how well it tied into the start of the year! How could I not have used this in January?
To make it fit the theme, I added a few stars and constellations!
Habit Trackers
Habit trackers are the best way to do things that you know you should do more of! Since January calls for New Year’s resolutions, I made my habits, my resolutions.
They’re not incredibly difficult but I am sure that if I keep all of them up, then it’ll make a larger difference! I also think that having them written down motivates you to keep to them! It doesn’t have to be in a bullet journal, but jot them down and track them!
{ please note, since this blog post, I have done a lot more workouts! I even have a guide to working out at home for beginners.)
Dream and memory log
I love including these posts in my spread and I’m expecting lots of good memories for January- what a great way it’d be to start the year!
The best part of these spreads is going back later in the year and reading over them! It usually ends with my laughing at my crazy dreams and smiling at all the amazing memories that I’ve had.
This definitely isn’t my favourite page for my January bullet journal but it ties in with the theme so let’s just accept it!
Weekly spread
While I need to study for A-levels, my weekly spreads are double-page spreads. This allows me to write more for my my to-do list and the simplicity of these spreads also allows for this.
The reason as to why I showed the last weekly spread for January was because I’ve included a gratitude log in the bottom. For me, it’s very important to practice gratitude and never take anything for granted!
Despite these weekly spreads being simple, I did really like how they turned out!
January favourites
This is my favourite of all my January bullet journal spreads by far! My favourite spreads do often become my favourite more often than not! I think it’s the the title that stole it for this one!
These 4 categories never seem to change. In particular, I like the music one. Later in the year, I like to go back and listen to some of these songs. Sometimes I can’t believe what I was thinking by putting that song as a favourite! More often than not however, I realise why I loved them so much and listen over and over again!
Self care page
Self care is so important! I even have a whole blog post on self care ideas. Having this page in my January section of my bullet journal means that I can practice self care from the start of the year.
It also allows me to keep going back to it when needed to. I try to practice self care as much as possible because it really helps me relax. Since I don’t usually have pages like this in my bullet journal, I really enjoyed the refreshing change!
That’s it for January bullet journal! Why not see what I did for my 2020 January bullet journal? Or why not create your own bullet journal?

Superb website you have here but I was curious about if you knew of any discussion boards
that cover the same topics discussed in this article? I’d really like to be
a part of community where I can get feed-back
from other experienced people that share the same interest.
If you have any recommendations, please let me know.
Thank you! http://www.chelsey.co.nz/power-and-inspiration/people-like-numbers/comments-6
There’s lots of instagram and Facebook pages that post bullet journals and Pinterest has lots of ideas too though I’m not sure about discussion boards. I have an Instagram for my bujo and the community is lovely!
Omg this is so beautiful! I love the stars theme and I definitely need my own ‘brain dump’ – I wish I was creative and dedicated enough to have a bullet journal!
Love,

Thank you so much! You should definitely get one, you don’t need to update it every day and you can use it anyway you want, I generally use mine for to-do lists so I can keep on top of everything! Xx
I don’t have a bullet journal but am fascinated by them!!
I love mine, I did use it at the start of last year but I was put off because I kept comparing it to others but now I take inspo from insta and I add my own touch so I love it! ?
This is so cute! I love journaling too and have yet to try bujo. You nailed this spread!
Thank you so much! I definitely recommend a bujo!
I love the idea of these journals, and yours looks so cute! X
Thankyou!
This is so cute! I had a bullet journal, but I kinda stopped using it mid year last year. This year I’m using a traditional planner + Google Calendar for planning and my to-do lists and schedule and what-not, but maybe I’ll pick up bullet journaling again just for the journaling/brain dump aspect of it. I love making lists and pretty layouts, even if it wasn’t super sustainable for me for my planning/scheduling (I got waaay dragged down with making a daily layout every day, and I found my brain needs more structure). The great part about bullet journaling is that you can make it into whatever you need!
Yes I agree! I got disheartened last year when mine didn’t turn out how I wanted it to but when I picked it up again, I made it more structured around studying and it has really worked! I recommend only doing weekly spreads rather than daily but different things work for different people!
this looks so beautiful!!
Thank you so much!
Great Spread! I love how creative and useful it looks to be!
Thank you! It’s definitely useful and it’s just a bonus that they turned out okay!
