Despite having my Pandora for ages now, I haven’t actually got too many charms, I actually have 9, but each of them have a meaning and I thought it’d be cute to share the small backstory behind them, so if you have any interest, please read on.
Mickey and Minnie Mouse in a car
I love this one, well I love them all but this one is Disney! My nan got me this one for my 18th birthday and I well in love with it! I think it’s amazing how much detail they put into such a small charm and I admit, I was half-expecting this one as I told my nan that I didn’t have a Disney one when I was dropping hints but it was still a lovely surprise to receive it.
This was one of my first charms and I back then, I just saw it as a cute charm but now when I look back on it, I did get it when I was just a child so I think the charm was meant to reflect that. I was meaning to ask my mum about it but I never got round to it though I probably will soon. I think it’d be nice to know what she was thinking when she bought it. Maybe she wasn’t thinking anything and if that’s the case then I’ll continue to go by my prediction because that would be much more interesting!
This was also one of my first charms and at the time I got this bracelet, I still had my favourite teddy that my nan gave me. I would not sleep without it, this charm definitely reflects that and I love it. As well as the cute meaning, the charm is also fricking adorable! You can’t say it’s not cute, you’d be lying and I don’t allow it! If you can’t decide a charm to get for your own then I’d recommend this as it would go well with so many others and it would add the cutest touch to your bracelet!
This was one my great aunt gave me for congratulating me on my exam results. I tried so hard for my exams and it paid off when I got mostly A’s. I really wasn’t expecting anything so this gift was much a lovely surprise that I was so so grateful for! Obviously the charm doesn’t link to the reason it was given for but it spiced up the accessory a little and I’m kind of glad because even though nobody else knows, I know that there’s a story behind the charm and I feel proud of myself whenever I catch a glance of it.
By far my favourite charm on my whole pandora. I had those ears at DisneyWorld and that brings back the whole memories of my favourite holiday ever! If I could then I’d definitely relive that holiday again and having the small reminder is definitely a small bonus. It’s also one of my only dangling charm and I really love that aspect too, I wish they did more because I definitely try to buy them all! Next on my list to buy is the Disney Castle, because that, paired with the ears would definitely surface more memories!
I used to have a flower garden with my nan that my grandad used to water for me when I wasn’t there. He always had his vegetable garden and my nan and I would keep our flower garden that was absolutely beautiful and colourful in Summer. Sadly I haven’t managed to keep up the garden since he passed but this charm reminds me of those days when I did.
So fun fact: dolphins used to be my favourite animal. They aren’t now, elephants are just far too cute but this charm used to be my absolute favourite, so much so, that I used to try and shine it up with a lens cleanser and glasses cloth. Kind of embarrassing now but at the time, nothing was ruining that charm. I later found out that it can stay shiny without the polish!
This one is most sentimental and now I think about it, I feel that it may beat the ears. This symbolises my grandad who unfortunately passed in 2016 and I haven’t removed the charm since I owned it and I don’t plan on it either since it’s a charm that hits close to home. In a way, it reminds me that he’s always there and will always be by my side as he continuously reminded me when he was still here and I think that’s why I adore it so much.
This was one I expected the least since I got a present for a girl I work in for her birthday. It turned out that she felt bad and later that week bought me this charm. It was such a kind gesture and I couldn’t thank her enough! This is such a pretty charm too as when it catches in the light it reflects rainbow and its absolutely gorgeous!
Do you have a pandora and if so, what’s your favourite charm?
