Even if you’ve only heard of the bath bombs, I’m sure you’ve heard of this brand before, it’s pretty impossible not to have! Their bath products are the main selling points but what people fail to realise is that they sell so much more than that! From skincare, to perfumes to makeup, and all cruelty free! In this post, I’ll be sharing with you all my absolutely favourite Lush products, and of course, a few bath bombs may make an appearance but you may also be introduced to an underrated beauty!
1. Let the good times roll – face cleanser
I cannot rave about this product enough! It smells absolutely gorgeous and it’s the only product that cleared my skin quickly! It lightly exfoliates and my skin gets such a lovely glow after using it which is why I tend to use it in the mornings and stick to my heavy-duty Biore charcoal cleanser at night. I also love to use this lush cleanser in the morning as the sweet scent always puts me in such a good mood but this also happens to be because it’s the cleanser that I used when I went to DisneyWorld so it’s definitely going to bring back good memories! It’s definitely not the cheapest out there but it’s not anywhere near the prices of higher-end brands and for its price, I can’t recommend it enough!
2. Sex Bomb – bath bomb
A Lush classic and many people’s first bath bomb and although it wasn’t my first one, I still fell in love with it as many others have. It’s not an overpowering scent but it’s strong enough for it to linger on your skin after a good soak and the delicate scent is very feminine which I personally love. It also has little petals that float in the water and are very moisturising. Most of these bath bombs are found to contain oils and these are very beneficial for the skin, though it also means that you can’t wash your hair when using it. I made that mistake once and waking up with oily hair just the morning after you wash it isn’t the best feeling. On a more positive note, my skin was super soft and smooth!
3. Mask of Magnaminty – face mask
I feel this is a product that’s both overrated and underrated. If you’re a Lush fan then you’ll have definitely heard everyone raving about this mask but if you’re not too familiar with this brand then it’s likely you won’t have. This mask smells very strongly of mint but it’s also quite sweet so it’s not something that you’ll absolutely hate. I have the self-preserving version which simply contains more honey so it stays soft which is also a bonus for the skin as honey is a natural antioxidant. It has a cooling effect on the skin which I personally like as it makes me feel as though the mask is really working and when I wash it off, my skin is less red than before and any pimples I have are less visible. They recommend leaving it on for around 15 minutes though I prefer leaving it for around 30 minutes.
4. Dragon’s egg – bath bomb
Now this was my first bath bomb and first product from lush so of course, it had to be mentioned. This is a citrusy bath bomb and from looking at the outside, you’d never suspect it to turn your bath water a glimmering gold! The scent isn’t too strong until you put it in the bath when it makes the whole house smell of oranges and lemons! It’s definitely a refreshing bath bomb and the glitter in it makes the water look absolutely magical! With that being said though, the glitter does settle on the bottom of the bath once the water is let out and requires to be wiped out straight away or it’ll be set on there and you’ll have to let it go in it’s own time which can be quite a while. I forgive it though since I have a special place in my heart for this one!
Snow Fairy – shower gel, body spray and body conditioner
It’s limited edition but I’ve mentioned it enough on my blog before for this not to be a surprise. I’ve said before and I’ll say again, this sweet, bubblegum scent is perfect for anyone who’s drawn to things like that, which I definitely am! The spray, shower gel and body conditioner ensures that you smell like a snow fairy all day long and the conditioner also ensured that your skin stays baby soft! Sadly, it’s only available at Christmas so I make sure I use sparingly to make sure it lasts me as long as possible. If I could recommend just one product from Lush then it would have to be this as it’s absolutely divine! I did a review on the conditioner as part of Blogmas and if you’re interested, you can read it here.
Pretty much all Lush products are vegan and they also sell shampoo and conditioner, and some products even without plastic wrapping to help save the environment. I’m a big fan of their recycling scheme where you get a free fresh face mask if you take in 5 empty lush pots back in store for them to reuse!
