I did a skincare routine a while ago which you can read here. I still do like most of these products and still believe that they are really good, but recently I’ve found a collection of products that work even better for my skin!
So before we start, I’ll just say that my skin is oily but I do like to have dewy skin when I first wake and these products help me achieve this!
First I’ll remove my makeup with micellar water. The one I use was one my nan picked up for me and it was really cheap. I do like the garnier micellar water and I picked up the wipes when I ran out but they broke me out so now I use this one which works well with my skin. It really breaks down my makeup and takes pretty much all traces of the day away!
Then, to cleanse, I use the Biore Charcoal anti-blemish cleanser. I feel that this has more of a cooling effect on the skin than the deep pore cleanser and I feel this has cleared my skin more since I began using it. I generally foam the product in my hands before massaging into my skin for around a minute. This has my skin feeling super clean and fresh which I love! There’s no better feeling than a clean face and this can definitely help you achieve it.
I’ll generally move to a face mask next, and I switch this up all the time but in the photo, I showed the glam glow gravitymud treatment as this is the one I’ve used the night I’m writing this! This mask is really fun as it’s a peel off mask and it’s silver! It’s really metallic and it looks amazing in selfies of course! I always feel my skin looks really glowy after using this!
Exfoliating is next and I’ve turned to a chemical exfoliator rather than physical. This makes my skin much more glowy and is a lot less gentle on any blemishes I have. They really work a lot better and the pixi peel pads that I use even tingle so you definitely know that they work!
To tone, I either use witch hazel. I use the care + brand but any witch hazel will have the same effect on your skin. It’s an antibacterial so it leaves your skin clean and free of any blemish-causing traces that could be left on your skin! I didn’t like this at first but I’d read so much about it that I kept at it and it’s now helped my skin so much!
I’ll also occasionally use the pixi glow tonic after the witch hazel to add an extra benefit to my skin. This step can be quite drying to the skin so I don’t recommend if you have a dry skin type. I can get away with this due to the extent of my skin’s oiliness. This toner also smells nice which can be a positive although may be a problem for those with sensitive skin.
For moisturiser, I’ll use the Clinique Superdefense cream. This makes my skin really soft and hydrated and soaks into my skin nicely so it doesn’t make my skin feel greasy. I always wake up with really good skin in the morning when I use this at night.
Now the next step is actually the last step but I took a photo with the moisturiser so I’ll mention it here. This is my spot treatment, and it’s the witch doctor skin soothing gel. At first I used to apply this all over and it really irritated my skin but then I began to apply it with a cotton bud and used it to spot treat specific areas and it worked a whole lot better than before! I definitely recommend this product to anyone who suffers from stubborn spots!
The serum is the next step after the moisturiser and I recently got a sample of the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum and I love it! It’s not greasy on my skin and a little goes a long way so although the price tag is quite steep, it’s worth it. I will definitely be repurchasing this when I run out and I’m so glad I got a sample or else I would never have found out how good it was and then my skin wouldn’t have been able to benefit as much!
Now, the last product I’m mentioning is one I would never have considered in the past- eye cream. I use the Estée Lauder Revitalising Supeme + which has actually reduced my eye bags massively! I haven’t had anymore sleep while using this cream but it could definitely fool you otherwise! It brightens my under-eyes so much and makes them a lot less puffy in the morning which is a massive benefit so I’ve started to not miss this new step out!
So, that’s all for my skincare routine! Please comment below your skincare saviour!
