April is coming to an end and luckily, last minute, I managed to gather some new favourites, I was worried that I wouldn’t get a Favourites post up this month because most of them are the same as last month.
You can read my March favourites here. I still love all the products mentioned!
A staple in every beauty guru’s foundation collection. I’d been putting this off for ages because I wasn’t sure how it’d be on my skin, so I decided to go to the Too Faced counter and get a colour match. Once I had it matched, I decided to go about the day and see how it lasted. Now, the woman didn’t set it with powder and this scared me slightly, I’m the oiliest skinned girl you will ever met. This formula is oil free however and it actually stayed matte! I was actually blown away and it didn’t rub off at all! You can bet that I ran straight back to Debenhams to purchase it! I know that the more I use it, I’ll love it even more! If it continues to work with my oily skin then I definitely see it becoming a staple in my Summer makeup!
Now, a beauty product that I love that I regret not buying is the Marc Jacobs Daisy Sunshine. It smells so summery and fruity but I just decided against buying it because I barely ever buy perfume. I really regret it now as it would be a great one now that summer’s coming along, the scent itself reminded me of it. I also loved the yellow bottle as it was so bright and pretty. I really really want to purchase it as soon as I get enough money!
The final product I’ve been loving is a skincare product and it’s witch hazel gel. This is a holy grail miracle worker and I can’t get enough of it! I just dab a little on any spots before I go to bed and wake up with them gone! It’s one of the best acne remedies I’ve used and I recommend it to anyone who may have acne as it’s helped me clear my skin so much. I use the witch doctor brand but many other brands also sell it.
My favourites from this month! I’ve found some absolutely beauties this month that I can’t wait to share with you!
So my absolutely favourite thing from the whole of this post is this Ralph Lauren top. As I was in Topshop recently, they had a couple of racks of clothes from a thrift shop and I fell in love with this immediately! I paired my Tommy Hilfiger Sports bra beneath it and I love it so much! It’s slightly cropped and I love the frills at the bottom! I’ve been wanting to thrift for the longest time and I’m over the moon that I found this gem the first time I tried! I suppose you could say it’s cheating since I didn’t find it in a thrift shop but it’s a vintage top that’s sold at a lower price than it was first retailed as so I’d class it as thrifting!
As you can see, I’ve paired it with hoop earrings that I’m also loving this month! I feel like they dress up every outfit and suit a lot of people. My face is quite small and even though the hoops are huge, I still like how they look on me, I really do think that there are a pair of hoops for everyone!
Now, I know I mentioned bralettes last month but it’s this particular pattern that I’m in love with. My favourite colour is rose gold and this rose gold pattern is to die for! I bought the smaller version of this bralette at Christmas with the straps and I loved it so much that I bought this strapless one more recently. I love the extra netting at the bottom of the cups and the fact that there’s so many clips. It can be quite annoying to do them all up but it does make sure that it won’t fall down; this is important for me as I hate hitching up a strapless bra when it keeps slipping.
Now for the fun part. Everyone loves food and I love trying new food so I’ve definitely got some food favourites from this month and hopefully I can persuade you to try some of the things I’ve loved!
Bubble waffles! Now I don’t know if it’s solely for the pure shape but I really think that these taste so much better than regular waffles! They’re so much fluffier and lighter and I’m a hardcore sweet-tooth so I think it would have been impossible for me to dislike these! I got Nutella and strawberries as toppings which has become a go-to for me. I just love how the strawberries take away some of the heaviness of the chocolate. If you’re looking for a new dessert to try, I 100/% recommend a bubble waffle and I promise that it won’t disappoint!
I mentioned this in my last post that you can read here. Chilli squid is my go-to choice for sides at Wagamamas and I order it every time I go! My mum’s friend introduced me to this and ever since I’ve been in love! I’m not sure what it is that I like but it’s amazing! They’re also not too spicy which is great because I don’t have the most tolerable palette but these are always seasoned just enough that I get a kick but not so much but I need a glass full of water to wash it down with.
Posh chocolate aka Hotel Chocolat. I’ve been a fan of these chocolates since I bought some peanut butter ones on my 16th birthday. For my sisters birthday recently, we bought some and I was so glad we did! There was a 3 for £10 offer on the slabs/packs of 6 so we chose one each that we wanted and one pack to share. I chose the Brownie one for myself, and my sister chose the peanut butter one, so we had the custard tarts to share. The brownie ones are very rich and have small pieces of nuts in but I really preferred the custard tarts. They have a rich vanilla flavour with vanilla cream in the middle, it was to die for! Next time I visit I’m definitely buying 3 packets of just those ones, they’ve easily become my favourite chocolate!
This post is actually a collaboration with Nelle over at realnelle.wordpress.com. She will be posting her April favourites on the 1st May so make sure to check it out!
