So, a different kind of post today but I’m quite excited because I think it’ll be really good. In this post I’ll be sharing how my life is going and what’s good and not so good. Hopefully I’ll try and post a blog post like this every month but I can’t promise anything so don’t hold me to it!
On the whole, I’d say my life is going pretty well. I’ve been really happy recently and I’ve been practicing self care a lot more often making me a lot less stressed! The only problem I have had is that I’ve been eating a little too much recently, and I mean, I love all the foods but it seems I had no idea what moderation means! I am cutting down a little now and I am feeling better for it because I now feel a lot less bloated thankfully!
In myself, I’m also feeling a lot more confident, mostly socially. I’ve been talking to a lot more people recently and it’s really paying off because the people are funny and that leads to me laughing more and being more happy in general. As well as socially confident, I’m also becoming self confident. My skin has been clearing and I now appreciate my appearance in the mirror. Sure, it’s not everything that I dream it could be but it’s certainly not awful!
Now, my love life. Let me just say, I don’t think it’s possible to be any more single. Around 2 months ago, I started talking to a guy and we went out several times and it was great, but then all of a sudden he went very distant and he ended it abruptly by saying there was no spark between us. I accepted this but it turned out that he had been talking to another girl the whole time he had been seeing me and taking her out too before taking her back to his house to do who knows what. Luckily, I’d got over him when I found out so I wasn’t too upset, but now I’m just focusing on school and saving the romance for when I go to university later this year!
Onto school, I’m actually so proud of myself! I’m studying A-levels; maths, biology and chemistry. We’ve recently had mocks so we know what we need to focus on over the Easter Break. I passed biology and I don’t want to sound too cocky but I’m not surprised because I didn’t find it too bad. Not many people did pass this test too so I was very proud of myself. As for Chemistry, I thought this test went so so bad, I felt like I didn’t know a single answer and I almost cried over it but I got my score back the other day and got a C! It’s not what I’m aiming for but it’s still a lot better than expected. Then Maths, the worst subject I could have chosen. Since I started the subject, I haven’t passed a single mock but on this one just gone, I passed with a good grade and above the class average which for me, is amazing! I hardly ever do well so to get above the average score is huge for me and it shows that my hard work has paid off!
I’m also really excited for Summer because after my exams, I’m going to Mallorca, and since I’ve never been there before, I can’t wait to go! My mum and I are going shopping some time in the next 2 weeks for the holiday and hopefully I’ll be able to post a haul on that. We are most likely going after my offer holder day at university where I’ll be able to look around the medical facilities at the university of my choice and ask the questions I have about medicine. The day finishes at around 4:30 so it’s not too late and we’ll manage to get some shopping done and have a meal before getting home.
Finally, onto my blog update! Not too long ago, I went self-hosted and invested in my own domain and I’m so so happy that I did! It makes me feel a lot more professional and gives me more freedom on my blog. I also invested in tailwind which I haven’t quite got the hang of yet but I’m definitely having a play around to try and figure everything out. I’ve been blogging for 6 months this month and I couldn’t be prouder of myself because even though I haven’t got crazy traffic, I’ve got enough traffic to be proud of and I’m so grateful for all the comments I’ve had! It means so much that people take time out of their day to comment on a piece of my writing and I really hope that some of my posts have helped people or at least entertained in the slightest.
I don’t think I have anything else to say in this update so please let me know how your life is going right now by commenting below!
I’m happy for you! Biology is my favourite science-subject, and the only one that I did really will in for our mocks 😂 Wishing you all the best though girlie! btw – PLEASE do more of these posts.
Nellé x
Thank you so so much! I’m really glad you enjoyed it and I love biology but the exams are so difficult! I hope you do well too!! Xx
Enjoyed reading this post! It would be nice to see similar life update posts from you, every month or so (if possible). Don’t worry too much about relationships and grades, by the way… like almost everything else in life, 50% hard work and 50% destiny leads to success in those two aspects of life, too! And, the destiny part shouldn’t be forced or stressed out about, ever!
That’s very true!! Thank you so much!
Love these life update posts, great to hear school is going well! I’m just as single right now. I hope you have a great trip this summer x

Thank you so much, I’ve really enjoyed writing this one too! Xx
I like your “realness”in this blog post! This is why I’m a personal blogger 😍 I can “feel” your words in this one!
Thank you so much! I really enjoyed writing this post! Xx
I loved this life update, I have only recently found your blog so it was nice to find out a bit more about you before I read other posts. You should definitely try and do this again although I understand with school and exams it might not be possible.
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed this!! Xx
Congratulations, I’m so glad everything’s going well for you! It’s fantastic that you did so well in your tests, even the ones you thought went badly, so you should be proud of yourself. I also did maths, biology and chemistry A-Levels and I found chemistry really hard! It’s great that your blog is doing so well too, and you’ve managed to balance that with your school life. And don’t worry, you still have plenty of time to find romance, and university will be a great opportunity for that (and making lots of new friends too!) x
Thank you so much! I’m definitely finding maths harder! I can’t wait for uni! Xx
