If you’re a loyal reader of my blog, first of all thank you, but secondly, you may recall me saying that I am trying to adapt a more girly style.
In this modern day and age, there’s less “girly” fashions if you will and more “Insta-baddie” clothing items. You now see less pink and more neon. Less fur and more denim. I however, adore the pink aesthetic and thankfully, I’ve found some others who still do too! In this post, I’ll be sharing the people who give me fashion inspiration and outfit ideas. They are all very girly so if that’s not the style you like then this post may not be for you. If you’re interested then please read on!
Freddy my Love
Freddy was probably the first person to inspire me to adopt a girlier fashion sense. She loves all things pink and has the courage to wear skirts and dresses all year round- even in Winter! I discovered her YouTube years ago when I was searching how to master a messy bun! She now has a large following on all social media’s!
Another reason as to why I like Freddy is that she also started as a blogger and she is very sophisticated. I love to watch her wardrobe declutters and she does sell her clothes on Depop, unfortunately however, I am not the same clothes size as her so I can’t buy anything. I do take into account where she bought her clothes and I take note of my favourite items on the notes app on my phone.
My favourite outfits of hers are a gorgeous dress she wore to promote a perfume, the dress is from a brand called Needle and Thread and it’s gorgeous! I also love her whole outfit that she wore to the Mary Poppins premier. She wore a gorgeous pale pink dress with a white fur jacket over it!
Gabi Demartino
I first discovered Gabi on her YouTube that she shares with her twin sister Niki. The twins are completely different and I prefer Gabi’s style so much more. Niki’s is more trendy and modern whereas Gabi’s is more girly and vintage. I don’t really watch their shared channel as much now though I do like to watch Gabi’s vlogs on her own vlogging channel.
Gabi’s style is quite diverse as she wears a lot of vintage clothes yet she also has a modern twist on it too. Her house is also gorgeous and she has an Instagram of it too!
Her nightgowns are very vintage and aren’t really my cup of tea but her day to day outfits are absolutely gorgeous and I’d love to recreate them!
My favourite outfit of hers is the outfit she wore recently to her song premier. The song is quite mature but her outfit was to die for!
Elle Darby
Elle Darby is actually where I get my inspiration from for cardigans. I used to think that you could never get any modern looking cardigans, hence why I never bought them.
Elle however always looks so cosy and effortlessly cool in them which is why I’m currently trying them out. Elle has a very girly yet modern look and tends to wear jeans with a girly jumper or top.
Not only does Elle have the cutest fashion but she’s the literal highlight queen and is always glowing. Let’s not even get started on how she’s one of the nicest people ever! If you check out her YouTube then I’d highly recommend watching a video with her sister Katie in it. More specifically, the video of Katie’s birthday party!
My favourite outfit of Elle’s is definitely this one from last autumn or the one before. I love the pink jumper in this and it compliments the pale denim so well! This photo is such an easy photo to take fashion inspiration from as both items look so good together but are versatile enough to look good with other items of clothing!
Kelsey Simone
Firstly, I’m going to start this off by saying that Kelsey is gorgeous! Her freckles are literally to die for!
As for her fashion sense, it’s quite vintage but not in an overly obvious way. She wears a lot neutral colours which I like as they work with the pinks and whites that I’m starting to steer towards so she’s each to take inspiration from.
I definitely prefer her Summer style but her Winter wardrobe definitely has some fashion staples that I could take inspiration from. I’m not a big fan of her Winter footwear choices as there seems to be a lot of high legged boots with heels. Heels and I are not friends but I also feel as though I wouldn’t suit boots that rise that high.
Out of Kelsey’s outfits, my favourite is definitely this two-piece that she sported last Summer in Fiji. I love how the beige makes the bright colours pop even more. This, for me, is a perfect Summer outfit.
Hailey Sani
With Hailey, some things I love and some I don’t. It really just comes down to the event as her dresses for events are gorgeous whereas her more casual wear isn’t the fashion that I’m trying to have. Don’t get me wrong, her usual fashion is very cool and trendy but I’m trying to go more pink and feminine.
My favourite style of hers is this cute white dress she wore to an event for Fresh cosmetics. It’s very flowy and I feel it could be worn casually in Summer. I also love the sleeves as they add a little more detailing to make them less plain and the frill skirt is so cute!
