It’s that time again, the things I’ve been loving this month! I’ve actually found quite a few things this month so I’m very excited to share!
Probably my favourite section to start with! I’ve been loving skincare in general lately but there are a few things I’ve been loving especially!
The first things are Revolution skincare serums. I stumbled across these when I went on a mad shopping spree a couple of weeks ago. The excitement was real; my Superdrug don’t sell them and I’d been wanting to try them for the longest time! These were very inexpensive and I picked up the niacinamide and zinc as well as the quinoa night peel. Both of these helped my skin massively when I had a breakout and the packaging is so sleek. They really look expensive when in reality they’re both under £10. They both also make my skin so glowy and soft. I apply both each night under moisturizer.
Another thing I’ve been loving is the GlamGlow Supertoner. I saw this ages ago all over Instagram and I thought it looked so cool! It smells exactly like the Supermud mask which is reassuring to me as I love that mask! When I apply it, there’s a definite cooling sensation which I personally like as it makes me feel like it’s working. This toner consists of six acids (!) and for this reason, its main purpose is exfoliation. To me, I find it very refreshing and always makes my skin feel super clean. The price tag is a little steep so I may have to fall back onto my glow tonic during university but I am very much enjoying this luxury one whilst it lasts!
I actually have quite a few new beauty favourites for this month. I haven’t been wearing makeup much but when I have been, I’ve discovered a few new favorites.
The first is of course the Fenty Pro Filt’r foundation. There is a review on my blog of this which you can read here. Spoiler alert- I really liked it! Of course this made it to this post; it’s a holy grail foundation for many and I can see why! I will only be wearing mine on special occasions however as I don’t think I’ll be able to keep up with the £27 each time for a restock! This is the only foundation that stays matte and flawless all day which is why this is a pretty big detail for me! I’d definitely recommend to anyone who’s considering it as it’s worth every penny!
Now the next 2 were absolute bargains that I found in TK Maxx! The first is the Too Faced Love Flush blusher in the shade ‘I Will Always Love You’. This is a lovely coral colour and the design pressed on the blush is so adorable and girly. They are highly pigmented and add the most gorgeous flush of colour to your cheeks. I’ve been loving blush so much recently and this was a perfect addition to my newly growing collection! This retails at £26 and I got it for £7.99!
This second bargain was the Anastasia Liquid Highlighter in the shade Perla. It’s a gorgeous champagne colour that adds a blinding glow that also looks quite natural. This is perfect for dewy makeup looks and it blends wonderfully! This was a steal too as it retails at £27 and I got it for £7.99 again!
I don’t have as many fashion favorites from this month but I do like this super cute blouse from H&M. It’s quite sheer and the frills at the front made me love it even more! Unfortunately I’m not sure if it’s still in stock as I got it second hand but I’m sure that there’s many alternatives that are very similar. I love to dress this down with mom jeans for a casual day-to-day look but it can definitely be dressed up too!
I’ve also been loving my sequin scrunchie! This is probably what I’ll take with me to uni to wear for Fresher’s week as it’s quite a fashion statement. I think this will be good to spruce up any night-out outfits and will be a good hair accessory when I want to wear my hair up. I also love that they’re dark colours as it means that it will look rather plain until the light catches it!
Headbands have also been a must-have for this month! I’m so glad they have come back into fashion as they make any hairstyle look a whole lot better! My favourite is a black velvet one I purchased from Primark for £6. It’s a little more pricey for Primark but it’s very Blair Waldorf and could be worth more than that!
I do have a few random favorites this month. The first is packing for university. I leave the 15th September and the packing has been quite fun as it’s also meant that I can buy some decor for my room. If people want a room tour at my university then I’ll definitely be happy to do so.
In addition to this, another favorite has been spending time with my family as once I’ve gone, it’ll be around a month before I can see them again. As someone who has only spent a week away from home maximum, this will be a big deal for me. To spend more time with them, I’ve just been talking more and we’ve started watching films together more frequently and I’ve really enjoyed it.
