It’s been a while! University has been so hectic and I haven’t had time to write but I finally got a bit of spare time so I’m going to do a room tour!
I don’t have an en-suite so the bathroom and kitchen won’t be included in this. This post is purely my bedroom and hopefully it’ll provide some inspiration on how to decorate your university bedroom!
So when we first walk in, we have the back of my door! They gave us one hook but I since got 2 more so I can hang coats, jackets and dressing gowns to my door as I feel it’s easy access. I love to just grab my coat and leave when in a rush and these are perfect! The 2 hooks I added are stick-on so no permanent damage was made to the door.
Now my favourite part, my bed! I went for a very girly theme for my room and what you can’t see is that beside my bed is a white fluffy rug! Pretty much every thing on this bed was from Primark! It was very inexpensive but it’s so cozy! My mum also printed me off photos from DisneyWorld which are displayed on the wall. These are my absolute favourite photos! My bed is actually really comfortable and I’ve had no problem sleeping in my room and the pillows have actually been a huge help with comfort, so I’m grateful I purchased them. For me, the fairy lights are very homely. Sometimes, I prefer to turn my main light off and only use these ones as they’re so cute! I also like the small amount of light they give off so it’s perfect when I’m settling down at night.
My shelf above my desk is full of beauty extras but I can definitely see these being replaced with stationary when lectures start. There isn’t much to say about this clutter but it’s in my room so I included it. My favourite things on this shelf is the light up frame and the light-up dream sign. The only negative about the sign is that it doesn’t have a stand so I’ve had to male do with blu tac.
On my desk, I have a collection of more school-related things. I have my folder and inside that is 2 big notebooks, plastic sleeves and dividers. I also have a family collage that will come in handy when I’m feeling homesick. Obviously, I have a little bit of alcohol as Fresher’s is perfect for having a little drink and meeting new people. I think that the blackboard will be most useful as I’m very forgetful and having a visual reminder will really help me a lot. I tried to make my desk kind of comfortable as I will be spending a lot of time here and getting bored will be the worst thing that could happen!
Despite shared bathroom, I do have my own sink in my room which is very useful. I have my soap and skincare as well as my toothbrush and toothpaste. I also have cleaning wipes as I hadn’t heard good things about the showers before coming. My shower was completely fine however so I haven’t had to use them yet! We have housekeepers in our uni too who clean the bathroom and kitchen Monday-Friday. I thought I’d also show you my wardrobe which is a bit of a mess but I organised it quite well with best clothes hung up, my pyjamas on the top shelf, bottoms on the 2nd, tops on the 3rd and electronics on the 4th. I also have shoes at the bottom beneath my hung up clothes.
That is all for my room tour since my room is fairly small.
Are you in university? Let me know about it in the comments below!
I loved seeing your room, it reminds me of my uni days because my room had similarities! Hope you’re having an amazing time at uni so far!
Thank you! And I’m having an amazing time so far! Xx
Very cozy room! I’ve already graduated uni but I remember the different places I lived in during my years there. Decorating the room while trying to save money was actually pretty fun.
It definitely is fun! Xx
I loved seeing your room! I’m currently looking for ideas as I’m planning to go to Uni this year! 😬
Aww good luck! Thanks for checking out my room tour. My room wasn’t the nicest uni had to offer but I made it very homely I think! Xx
I loved your room! I won’t be going to uni before two years but this certainly some inspo to recreate my bedroom.
Yay I’m so glad! Xx
