And just like that, Christmas is over! I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and you all got everything you wanted! In this post, I’ll be sharing what I purchased in the post-Christmas sales with my Christmas money.
Before we start, I mentioned in my last post, that I’d share what my boyfriend got me and although I didn’t take photos of what he got, I was very happy. He got me a huge box of chocolates from Hotel Chocolat which are my favourites! He also got a wide selection of chocolate and American candy as well the Lush Snow fairy scent. Lush’s snow fairy is my absolute favourite as mentioned in previous posts. To check out my review of the Snow fairy body conditioner, click here.
Now on to the haul!
I’m going to start with the two I’m most excited about and they also happen to be the 2 most expensive. The first thing I’ll talk about is the “>Foreo Luna mini 2! I’ve seen these all over bloggers’ and YouTubers’ instagrams at the moment. I haven’t heard a single bad thing about them! Mine is from boots and as you can see, I decided on the pink one. This wasn’t on sale in boots but I used my loyalty card to get money off. When I got home however, I discovered that Foreo currently have 25% off, so bag one while you can!
The second thing, is “>Dior Hypnotic Poison perfume. I got this in a set with the body lotion too for less than what a bottle alone would cost! This is definitely my favourite perfume that I’ve ever purchased. I’m not really a perfume girl. I didn’t like the idea of spending money on something that I barely wore. This perfume however, has changed everything! It’s a vanilla scented perfume but it has underlying notes of almond and jasmine that make it sophisticated. I’ve worn this a couple of times since purchasing and it’s a scent that lasts all day. It never seems to fade! This is definitely a perfume that I’ll make sure I always have!
Speaking of scented products, I also have the Body Shop Warm Vanilla body butter. This was on half price since Christmas is now over. I got it for £7.50 but it’s such a big tub that will last me ages! I always forget to moisturise but this one smells so good! It’ll be impossible to forget! I’ve been using after my showers recently and it makes my skin feel so smooth while smelling amazing!
Now, I’ll move on to the other things I purchased from Boots. The first being the “>Morphe continuous mist setting spray. Morphe has only launched in Boots recently but I’m so glad it did! It makes it so much more accessible. I purchased this setting spray in hopes that it’ll live up to the standards of the Urban Decay one. The urban decay one continuously raises in prices and is currently £24. I’m hoping this morphe one does just as good a job while saving me £9!
Revolution skincare has also only joined Boots recently and I’m happy about this too! As soon as I saw this “>salicylic acid serum I grabbed it. I swear by the Ordinary one but it’s so hard to get hold of. It seems to be stocked nowhere. I’m hoping this can live up to the Ordinary one as it’s a lot more accessible for me. I’ll start using it as I did with the Ordinary one and will report back when it’s had time to work it’s magic. The only negative I have with this is that it’s a little more expensive than the Ordinary one.
My next set of products is from Lush! I’ve been using Let the Good Times roll cleanser for a while now. It’s had such a positive impact on my skin. So, I decided to venture out and purchase another lush cleanser that I can use at night. The woman there suggested Dark Angels. She said it has quite a scrubby texture so can double up to remove makeup. I decided to use it last night and it was amazing. The scent will take some getting used to but it formed such a creamy lather. It also wasn’t a harsh scrub which makes it great for daily use! The charcoal is also supposed to help with clearing your skin so I can’t wait to see if the claims are true!
An old favourite. The mask of magnaminty is a cult favourite of many. A mint scented mask that is great for acne. I used to have this mask but when I ran out, I never repurchased. This mask made my skin so much clearer so it was stupid of me not to buy again. Thankfully, I care to my senses and bought the large pot this time. I’m also glad that I got the self-preserving one as I often forget about the ones you have to keep in the fridge! This is probably Lush’s most hyped skincare product yet I still feel it’s underrated, as mentioned in my Top 5 Lush products post.
Somehow, I managed to break my phone case as some point. That meant, I had to buy a new one. My obvious choice was SkinnyDip as I like their protective cases. When I got to the stall however, there weren’t many choices for iPhone XR. Due to my limited choices, I settled for this whale one. In all fairness, it is pretty cute. I also like the holographic detailing on it too. I’m quite as fond of it as my marble one before but I can see it growing on me.
Finally, to round up this haul, we have this top from Zara. With Zara, my local one anyway, I find it’s very hit or miss. You find absolute gems or items you’d find hard to pull off. This top is a gem, and it was half price! This was definitely the busiest shop I went in. I was almost tempted to not wait in line, but I’m glad I did! It’s such a cute top and I can see myself wearing it often! I particularly love the ruffles!
Although the shopping centre was busy, my items made it worth it!
