Lush Snow Fairy Bath Bomb Review

Snow fairy, my favourite as you already know! As I mentioned in a previous post, my boyfriend got me a Snow Fairy set from Lush. I’ve tried every product from the Snow fairy line in the past, I’ve also reviewed the body conditioner that you can read here. Now, let’s get into it.

What is Lush’s Snow Fairy?

Snow Fairy is Lush’s bestselling Christmas product. Every year, it sells out in my local Lush store and I’m not surprised. I always bulk buy in hopes that I’ll have enough to last me through the year. It started with only a shower gel but since, Lush have expanded the line. It now includes; a bath bomb, a bubble wand, a body spray, a body conditioner, fun and the original shower gel.

It’s very pink and shimmery and I can’t resist buying at least something from the line every year. Sometimes I wish it was sold all year round. Despite this, I know that the scent is now so strongly tied to Christmas that I can’t imagine it at any other time!

Pre-ordering for Snow Fairy is usually towards the end of September but it doesn’t usually hit stores until the start of November. This is usually because that’s when the Halloween themed products stop being stocked.

As well as buying Snow fairy individually, you can also buy them in many gift sets. Because Snow Fairy is Lush’s best selling Christmas line, you can find it in almost every Christmas gift set as well as having its own Snow Fairy gift set.

What does it smell like?

I’ll start by saying that it smells amazing! It’s a very sweet and strong scent so if you’re not into that then it may not be for you.

Lush describes the Snow fairy scent as bubblegum, sweet vanilla and candy floss. Bubblegum definitely isn’t my favourite scent yet this is more of a background scent than the front runner which is why I love it! I’m a huge fan of sweet scented products. This is the epitome of a sweet scent! It’s so strong and it lasts all day!

It is the exact scent you’d think of associating with the colour pink, which is perfect considering Snow fairy is pink.

Snow fairy bath bomb first impressions

As I said, I got this bath bomb as part of a gift set. Usually, this bath bomb retails at £4.95. It is quite a steep price for a bath but this sound definitely last you 2 baths, maybe even 3! When I used it however, I used it all. I don’t have baths very often so usually when I use bath bombs I just drop the whole thing in.

The design of the bath bomb is also very pretty and eye-catching. It’s pink and white with a snowflake on the pink side. If I hadn’t of received it in the Snow Fairy set then I more than likely would have bought it myself! Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to get a photo of the bath bomb before I dropped it in my bath.

What happens when you drop the Snow Fairy bath bomb in the water?

If you didn’t know, Lush bath bombs are lowkey magic when you drop them in the bath. The snow fairy one was no different. As soon as it hit the water, it began to dissolve and the water turned a rich pink. There was also a little blue and white foam.

As it continued to dissolve, the whole bathroom, the whole house even, began to smell of bubblegum- it was just like a sweet shop! The strong scent is common among many lush bath bombs, not just snow fairy.

Not only did it turn the water pink but it also dispersed a ton of glitter throughout the water! The glitter moved like the one that you see in unicorn gin. Strange comparison but very accurate! The only downside of this was that it settled on the bottom of the bathtub and was quite hard to clean.

Nevertheless, it was gorgeous whilst the water was still in the bath. It was almost like a snow fairy grotto!

What benefits does the Snow Fairy bath bomb offer?

Not only is it really fun, but the bath bomb also offers some benefits to your skin! Like many other Lush bath products, the snow fairy bath bomb contains oils to ensure your skin is moisturised.

Whenever I bathe, especially with a bath bomb, I refrain from washing my hair. This is because my hair is quite oily so the bath bomb would mean my hair would be oilier than it was before! You can definitely feel the benefits of the oils. As I was drying off, my legs felt a lot smoother and softer and the scent lingered on my skin.

It’s also quite relaxing, I love to run myself a bath when I’m stressed. It’s great to do just nothing and unwind. The scent is definitely a good one to de-stress to, but it’s also quite fun to watch the glitter. Again, I’m strange, I know!

Where can I get one?

Unfortunately, as mentioned before, it’s limited edition. So, you’ll have to wait until next Christmas where it’ll hopefully be reintroduced again. If you really can’t wait, I’m pretty sure some snow fairy products are available on Amazon. However, these may be pretty expensive because they’re the only ones available.

If you’re considering buying one, I’d say to definitely do it! If you’re a frequent bather I’d also say to cut it up to get more uses. At uni, I shower so I use my bath products quickly at home that’s why I used it all. Even using a 1/3 of the product, I know that you’d still have just as many of the benefits!

When the snow fairy line is available, it’s can be found in-store and online so it’s easily accessible.

What are your thoughts on the other snow fairy products?

I haven’t tried every single product in this line but I’m happy to share my opinions on the ones I have!

Snow fairy shower gel- I love the shower gel! It’s the OG snow fairy product and it’s one of my favourites. Every year, I purchase a big bottle of it and it lasts for ages! It has the classic snow fairy scent and also makes the house smell gorgeous.

Sometimes, when I have a bath, I’ll just use this as a bubble bath. It doesn’t have the fun colours but it has the same delicious snow fairy scent!

Snow fairy body spray- truth be told, I don’t use this product for its advertised use! I actually use it as a room mist!

It lasts way longer than most air fresheners I’ve used and the Snow Fairy scent is also much more preferred to the typical lemon or cotton scents.

Snow fairy bubble wand – now when I say there’s bubbles, there’s tons of bubbles – mountains even!

The best part? They all smell of snow fairy! The colour from this wand is much more subtle, however, you can get anywhere between 5-10 uses from this. It all just depends on how generous you are when using!

Snow fairy is definitely a product to invest in around Christmas time!
