Goddess skin face mask – a product for angels

Charlotte Tilbury is an undeniably beautiful brand. The packaging is gorgeous and the reviews are never negative. I’ve been dying to try a product from this brand for ages now and thankfully, my boyfriend treated me to the clay mask for Valentine’s Day. The goddess skin face mask was the product I’d been wanting to try the most. All reviews have claimed this product to be “magical.”
I tried this out the day after Valentine’s Day and my skin was breaking out a little. This may be due to wearing makeup the day before after giving my skin a huge break from it.
The box says to apply a thin layer and leave it on for 10 minutes before washing it off using a special technique. I looked into it and the “facial massage” is 5 minutes long! Upon the first usage, I decided against using that technique. For one, I didn’t have the time, and secondly, none of the reviews had mentioned using this and their reviews still raved about it.
First impressions of the Goddess Skin Clay Mask
My first impression of this mask was actually from the scent. It smells of roses which I personally love. A rose scent to me, just screams angelic. It’s so girly and it made me have high hopes straight away.
The hole to dispense the product is quite small so it does take a little more effort than usual to get product. For me, this wasn’t much of an issue but it may be something to consider.
I applied a thin layer as instructed and it was easy to apply evenly. Due to the steep price tag, £38, I didn’t want to waste money but I did apply a little more to my cheeks than anywhere else. I then let this sit. My skin did not react to this mask.
What effects did the Goddess Skin Clay Mask give?
As I washed the goddess skin mask off, I noticed how creamy it was. This is unusual for clay masks. Usually, clay masks dry and set hard on the skin. For dryer skin types, that isn’t ideal. Luckily, this mask doesn’t dry out and therefore keeps your skin hydrated. The product is targeted to any skin type.
Inspecting my skin after washing, I didn’t notice any huge miraculous difference. Being honest, I was slightly disappointed. All these reviews had claimed magical results and I was here with hardly any difference. My skin was soft, but I didn’t think that could justify the price tag.
The next morning however, I experienced the miracle that so many had claimed. Looking in the mirror, I was shocked.
My skin was soft, clear and glowing with the exception of one particularly stubborn spot. Even my under-eye bags looked slightly lightened. This was a miracle in itself because my eye-bags are very dark.
Would I recommend this mask?
As mentioned several times in this post, the price tag is steep. In my honest opinion, it is justifiable. After first impressions, I wasn’t so convinced but as the saying goes, good things take time.
If your skin wish is to have baby-soft, clear skin with angel-like rosy cheeks then this is the product for you.
Patience however is also required, because, like any other skincare product, it isn’t an instant magic filter. No don’t your skin will feel extremely silky and soft, but several hours is needed for the full effects of this.
Overall opinions?
The Charlotte Tilbury goddess skin clay face mask is definitely one to add to the collection. I’d classify it as a luxury item and will definitely be the one I reach for when skin needs a little more TLC.
The scent may be off-putting or overpowering for those not fond of floral scents but I liked it. I feel like it added an extra touch of “magic”.
As mentioned, it applies well and evenly and doesn’t feel too drying on your face. This makes it particularly appealing to those with dry skin as many clay masks are unusable to them.
For me, the packaging stole the show. I’m a sucker for pink, as you may be able to tell by my blog, and this packaging looked an absolute dream.
Obviously the mask worked after an extended period of time, but there were some instant effects and I think with continued use, you can get the baby-soft, angelic skin that this product promises!

Oh this sounds amazing. I don’t really mind if the effects come later because I still know I’ve treated my skin well. I’ve never heard of this one before but given your review and the comments from others it does sound amazing. Thanks for the recommendation!
No problem, thanks for reading! Xx
I’ve seen this but have avoided it due to the price tag. Nice read x
I’d say it’s definitely worth it! Xx
charlotte tilbury products always look amazing, I was I could justify buying this! x
You definitely can! It’ll be worth it! Xx
I love the name of this product! I think it is a bit too expensive for me, though. I’m currently using the charcoal mask from The Body Shop and it works wonders for me, and the price tag is pretty reasonable. However I’d love to be able to say I have the skin of a Goddess 😂
