It’s that time again! My April bullet journal post for 2020! I do really like my theme this month however I definitely prefer my March theme. So far this year, I think my favourite is my January bullet journal. This month, my theme is Easter! I wanted quite a happy theme due to the unfortunate situation as of right now. This theme is definitely colourful and I do like how it’s turned out!
Cover page
I really do like the eggs on my Easter cover page! They were obviously a given due to the Easter theme but I like the patterns and colours of them! With the bunnies, I do think that they’re really cute; they fit in the theme and add a cute little extra touch. After for the chicks… I do like the one that’s stood up, as for the one in the egg, not so much. I’m not entirely sure why. I think it may be due to the egg making it stand out and not being the exact colour of an egg. I also added a few raindrops to incorporate April showers which I think is pretty fitting. It also fills the page a little more rather than having a whole lot of blank space.
For the whole of this theme, I’ve only used Tombow brush pens in the pastel collection and of course, it’s all in my beloved leuchtturm.
Monthly spread
My monthly spread is fairly simple this month but I like it. My favourite part of this is actually the title and the cute little rabbit in the corner. I don’t use the monthly spread too much during the month but it’s good to have an overview of the month and to keep checking on your goals. I’ve learnt from past experiences that having your goal written down, makes you more likely to stick to them. I only have 2 goals so far but I can see myself adding more before the month starts.
Habit and Study trackers
The eggs are maybe my favourite thing on this page. The pink and the purple compliment each other and the patterns make the eggs look particularly interesting. Again, I’m only tracking 4 things, I feel like 4 is easy to keep on top of and setting yourself small goals will eventually lead to completion of bigger goals. My exams are still going ahead according my last university update so of course, a study tracker, for me is essential. Personally, I like to keep on top of my studying anyway, this month, it’s even more important. I want to try and get in 31 hours so it averages out to an hour a day but I’d definitely like to beat that goal. I’m sure, if I put my mind to it, that I’d be able to do it. By how much, I couldn’t say but we’ll see at the end of the month!
Dream tracker
My dream tracker, again, the same as last month, only takes up half a page. I don’t dream as much as I used to so I don’t need as much space. I do however, like to incorporate my quotes on this page now. Obviously my quote is Easter related. My decorations as Easter and Christianity related. I do believe in God and Jesus yet I don’t follow the rules of the religion strictly. I’m actually a huge fan of the top egg on this quote. That is definitely the weirdest sentence I’ve ever typed up for my blog! But it’s done, it’s been typed. We have to deal with it!
Mood tracker

Funnily enough, this is the least colourful page for this month, by the end of the month, it’ll be one of the most colourful! This may be my favourite colour key of the year. Instead of just smiley face to sad face, I’ve drawn rabbits to illustrate it instead. The rabbits are super cute. There’s not much to say about this page as it’s very simple so I’ll leave that description there.
Weekly spread
This is probably my favourite weekly spread. I’ve drawn cute pink and yellow eggs hanging from my boxes. I’ve also added some grass at the bottom to add an extra bit of colour to the page and to fill some more of the page. You may have noticed, I have 8 boxes this month on my weekly spread. This is incorporated into all my weekly spreads as I usually have tasks that’s don’t need to be done a specific day. Now I have a box just for those!
Favourites
My favourites page is THE most simple page you’ve probably ever seen but it works! It fits the theme and I’ve got space to write out what I’ve been loving. I do quite like this title although it’s not my favourite. The alternating upper case and lower case letters just adds a little something unique to the page. Since it is quite plain, it did need something to set it apart from the rest. This title did that. The rabbit is also probably my favourite of the whole month so this spread also has that going for it.
That is all for my April 2020 bullet journal theme! What’s your April bullet journal theme?

This is just too cute! I love the Easter theme! It’s so bright and happy!

Nice post, I recently did one on journaling, although it was about journaling in general. Do you find designing your own layout for your journal therapeutic in itself, like any other self-care creative endeavour?
Thanks! I do really like creating my layouts, it is quite relaxing but I also like the flexibility it allows me xx
I’ve been wanting to get into bullet journaling and this is such a cute set up! Thanks for the tips 🙂
Thank you and no problem, I highly recommend! Xx

Of course! You can start one whenever you want! Xx
I have always wanted to start a bullet journal but I can’t say my skills are too strong when it comes to design so I tend to stick with words. However you have given me plenty of inspo and now I may just give it a crack.
