This post is written by Sophie – Thank you to the lovely Kyra for allowing me to guest post on her amazing blog! 🙂
So, today I’m here to talk you guys through my top 3 face masks for combination skin. I’m not actually 100% sure what skin type I have, but I’d say it’s pretty much combination. I have oily moments on my T-Zone and dry patches around my nose, so it’s essentially a mixture of both! One thing I have been LOVING for calming down my redness, getting rid of my spots and smoothing out my skin is face masks.
I have been using these face masks for years, so I have pretty good knowledge of whether they work well or not! Since this is a post of my top 3 face masks for combination skin, you can kinda guess they’re gonna work, well, amazingly! So, without further ado, let’s get into the post, shall we?
Lush face masks
I’ve included these first as Lush do my favourite face masks of all time. I think I’ve used 3 different ones from the brand so far, and I’m absolutely loving them. The best thing is that if you save up all your empty pots, once you build up 5 you can take them into the Lush store to be re-used and receive a free face mask! I think that’s amazing, as it’s great for the environment AND, of course, you get a nice lil freebie! What more could we want?
My favourite face mask from Lush has got to be the ‘Mask of Magnaminty’ – it is the most refrshing blend of mint that calms down your skin and leaves you feeling extremely fresh and clean. It is the best thing for spots as the little beads in it work great for gently exfoliating your skin, whilst simulataneously calming it. I’m yet to find a face mask this great for my combination skin!
I also really would love to try the coffee face mask from Lush, as I’m a sucker for any skin product that’s coffee based. The Lush face masks I’ve tried so far are the Mask of Magnaminty, Rosy Cheeks and the Prince of Darkness. Rosy Cheeks is fab for calming your skin, as rose is super calming for the skin. Prince of Darkness, on the other one, is more of a rough one that really gets rid of the nitty gritty dirt in the skin and pulls it out of your pores. Both are amazing, but serve completely different purposes! Lush definitely always has something for everyone and every skin type, so don’t worry about that.
Liz Earle Face masks
Now, Liz Earle is more on the expensive side, but it’s absolutely my favourite skin care brand of ALL time. At the end of the day, sometimes you really do pay for what you get, and that’s always the case with Liz Earle in my opinion. If you follow me over on Instagram or Twitter, you’ll be fully aware from my countless stories and endless Instagram posts that I am an avid lover of Liz Earle skin care.
The 2 face masks I’ve tried from Liz Earle are the Nourishing treatment mask and the Deep cleansing mask. They’re around £18 each but you can get travel size ones (not actually that small!) for around £8 which isn’t expensive at all for such a luxury product, in my opinion! I’d definitely recommend these masks as they’re so calming on your skin and you can definitely notice a difference within a week of using it 2-3 times! They’re my holy grail.
No7 face masks
I really feel like No7 is seen as more of anti-ageing brand that isn’t suitable forpeople in their twenties or younger, but I definitely disagree! I love the No7 day moisturiser for in the morning and throughout the day, and then I also love the No7 night cream for night time to sleep in, as your skin has time to absorb all the moisture. I also absolutely love he No7 lift & luminate triple action serum for day or night! It leaves the skin super plumpy, moisutirsed an smooth.
Anyway, back to face masks! I got a lil distracted there… I could go on about this brand for ages! My favourite face mask by No7, particularly for the colder Winter months when my skin is a bit more on the dry side, is the No7 skin hydration boost mask. This one just has to be included in my top 3 face masks for combination skin as I have never found a face mask that gives me so much moisture!
So, there we have it – my top 3 face masks for combination skin! What are your favourite face masks for your skin type? <3

Love this post! I struggle sometime to even know what kind of skin I have so this was super helpful 😊 definitely going to give the no7 mask a go!
Glad it helped! Xx
I’ve never tried any of these masks before, but now I’m excited to add them to my shopping list. Having combo skin can be so tricky. It’s helpful to know someone else has tried and true products that they love!
Glad this could help! Xx
I haven’t tried the No. 7 one but I love the liz Earle stuff.
A face mask is one of mine and my partners favourite evening past times. I love that he will get involved with it!
I love wearing face masks to unwind xx
The mask of Magnaminty face mask is so amazing!!! I love that one, I haven’t used it in ages though but you’ve really inspired me to go and buy it again. Great post x

I’m so desperate to try the Mask of Magniminty from Lush, I’ve heard it’s amazing! I’ve been using a tea tree one from The Body Shop lately and I’ve found it’s really good and leaves my skin feeling fresh, I’m hoping if I use it often enough it’ll make a difference to my spot ridden skin! Thanks for sharing xx
