You may notice a difference in the title compared to my usual bullet journal and that is that this month’s bullet journal is digital! I recently bought myself an iPad and my sole reasoning was for bullet journaling and note-taking. I bought the 7th generation model as although one of the newest models, it’s also one of the more budget-friendly ones.
The apps I used are Procreate and GoodNotes. Procreate is my preferred choice for drawing as there’s more options whereas goodnotes is better for the writing side. I made my templates on Procreate and then inserted them into my GoodNotes. So now I’ve introduced everything new, let’s get started!
Cover page
So, as we can see, my June bullet journal theme is sea-life. Despite my love for Winnie the Pooh, I do prefer this theme over my May theme simply because my lack of artistic skills let me down last month. This isn’t the best cover but I do like how it turned out. I got the inspiration for this cover from @b.bulletjournal on Instagram. Her bullet journal posts are amazing! My January and February bullet journal posts were also inspired by her! Overall, I’m really happy with how this cover turned out, especially as it was the first piece of work on my iPad!
Monthly spread
I’m very pleased with how this one turned out! Drawing grids on the iPad is so much more quicker than doing it by hand! I also used the Apple Pencil while doing this. The calendar turned out perfect but my handwriting still isn’t quite as good as I want it to be. It does frustrate me but I keep reminding myself that I am only starting out and I’ll improve. To help my improvement, I have a notebook just dedicated to practicing my handwriting. In this book, I just mess around with the different pen styles and widths and it’s a case of rewriting letters over and over again. My title is a strong point of this page and that’s because it’s a style I wouldn’t be able to do in my notebook unless I sketched it in pencil before. In my opinion, this spread is more simple than I’d usually make it but I think if this was on paper, it’d fill more of the page. I really like that you can also get rid of anything really easily if you don’t like it whereas you couldn’t if it was in pen on paper.
Mood tracker
This was probably my favourite spread to make out of all my June bullet journal pages just because of how much quicker it was! Usually, I had to hand-draw all the individual drawings but this time, I only had to draw one starfish then copy and paste! As you can see, I was short for space near the bottom but I fit all 30 on! To track my mood, I’ll just be drawing a face on them corresponding to the emotions I felt during that particular day. Another good feature of digital bullet journaling is that you can use fonts for the title rather than handwriting them all. Eventually I will handwrite, but as you will see later, using a cute font is the safer option for now.
Habit tracker
So I tried to copy my usual layout for my habit tracker this month. I’m not too keen on the decorations but I genuinely had no clue how to fill the spaces but I guess the crab is kind of cute? It was so easy to draw digitally too! Despite not liking it on this page, I think the seaweed turned out very well and would have looked amazing on any other page! I don’t hate it here but it doesn’t all tie together as well as I’d envisioned.
Weekly spread
I LOVE this spread! The shells look so good and the bubbles compliment it all well! I also like the rope that ties it in with the cover page. I used a doodle guide on Pinterest that showed me how to draw these step-by-step and I managed it pretty well! I actually drew these on GoodNotes rather than Procreate and they still look ptretty cute! No doubt they would have been neater with Procreate but I think the little imperfections have made them cuter! What I also like about having a digital bullet journal is hysterical you can zoom in to write which means you can fit more things on your to-do list in the box. I’m hoping to be just as productive in June despite not having any more exams!
Dream tracker and favourites
I’m not crazy about this page but I do like the heading for the favourites and the colour of the highlighter that’s drawn the line for the dream tracker. I decide to put these two together as I never write a lot on these pages. I also don’t post favourite posts all too often. I think my last one was an February favourites and that’s because I was really stuck on post ideas. I do love reading these posts but I just feel they’re hard to optimise for SEO and that’s what I’m focusing mostly on right now in terms of my blog. I love doing my bullet journal posts and they do well on Pinterest which is a win-win!
What’s been your favourite page in my June bullet journal?
Oh my god I love this! I don’t have a bullet journal but I’d be more likely to if it was digital. I love the theme you went with this month! Very cute 🙂
Thank you! It’s so much more convenient and doesn’t take half as long! Xx
Oh I love this! I do love my bullet journal but I think I would use this a lot more if I had it on a tablet. Such a great idea!
Definitely more convenient xx
I have procreate on my iPad but I am not much of an artist to do anything with it. I still plan to use Pinterest to guide me. Your journal is so cute and the little art you put together gives it life and meaning. I like the theme you used. Well done
Thank you so much! Xx
That is so cute! I love your little drawings so much. I had no idea you could even bullet journal on an ipad, how cool!
Thank you so much and I’m loving it so far! Xx
These are all so adorable! I love the ocean/sea theme. I’ve only just started journaling so I can totally draw inspiration from your post. Cheers!
Thank you so much! Xx
This looks so good! I love the sea theme, I think my favourite page is the monthly spread, but I also love the shells on the weekly spread. Also, the crab on your habit tracker page is so cute! xx
Thank you! Xx
Your bullet journal is so pretty! I’ve been thinking about journalling for a while and I love the sound of a digital journal as opposed to paper x
Thank you! And yes, digital ones are more convenient xx
Absolutely in love with this idea, and your designs!
Such a clever way of always having your bullet journal on you too, totally inspired to give it a go!
Thank you so much! I recommend it! Xx
This is so pretty! I have a bullet journal of my own too but I’m really not artistic enough so mine’s literally just words and lines haha. I love every page of yours and thank you for sharing!
