Sometimes all you want is a pamper night, especially if you’re in need of some serious self care! In this post I’ll be sharing my favourite pamper night essentials. This post is also a collaboration with other bloggers who will also be sharing their favourite pamper night products! By the end of all these posts, you’ll be a self-care Queen!
I love to use these products on my self care Sunday. For me, Sunday is the perfect day for self care as it makes the end of the week so much better. I have a post on my other website all about how to start a self care Sunday.

Of course, a face mask is the ultimate pamper night essential! I have a few favourite face masks that I like to alternate between. Of course, I have the beloved mask of magnanimity by Lush! Lush face masks are amazing for your skin and this one really clears your pores! I also love the small scrubby bits as it leaves my skin feeling so soft!
Charlotte Tilbury’s goddess skin clay mask* has also become an essential for a pamper night too! Clay masks are so classic but this doesn’t dry down hard so it’s even suitable for dry skin types. Not only does this smell gorgeous but it also makes your skin feel like heaven! I even have a review of the Charlotte Tilbury goddess mask up on my blog!
Another choice is also the Ordinary’s peeling solution. It’s not quite the most relaxing but I love how my skin looks after this so it’s here. This mask is also very lightweight so it’s great if you only want to feel a slight tingle on your skin. I shared the reason for the tingling on your skin on my review of the peeling mask!
Any pamper night wouldn’t be complete without a hot bubble bath! It’s so relaxing to be surrounded by mountains of bubbles! My favourite choice of bubble bath is Snow Fairy by Lush. Unfortunately, this is only available at Christmas time. Because of this, when I’m not using Snow Fairy, I’ll use the Laura Mercier creme brûlée bath honey*. This is very indulgent and it’s expense is reflected in the scent and quality.
Both of these produce masses of bubbles and smell absolutely amazing! I love sweet scents and these are the epitome of it!
I love to moisturise my body after a nice long bath. It makes my skin feel so much softer and just makes me feel so much more relaxed.
My favourite lotion is the Body Shop Warm Vanilla limited edition lotion. I got a huge tub of it at Christmas in my post-Christmas sales haul. It lasts me ages! I won’t lie, I did stop using it for a bit. I always forget to apply lotion but I still have about 1/3 of the the tub left and we’re now in May (at the time of writing!)
If you can’t get your hands on this lotion then Lush Sleepy is my second choice. Sometimes for work, I have to get up at 2am so it means going to bed early too! I’m used to going to bed much later so I struggled to sleep at first. My mum recommended this lotion and it helps so much! The lavender scent is so relaxing and soothing and it really nourishes you’re skin.
Hot water bottle
Not a very common one this time but I love my hot water bottle! My boyfriend bought me a very soft white one for Valentine’s Day, a long with the Charlotte tilbury mask, and it’s amazing! I love to curl up under my covers on a pamper night and this makes it so much more cosier!
There are so many hot water bottles available on Amazon and they’re pretty inexpensive too so I definitely recommend! I have a period survival guide up on my blog and I show a DIY hot water bottle. Not as comfy but definitely cheaper if on a very tight budget!
A good book
I love to read on my relaxing nights. Since lockdown began, I started to download more books on iBooks. I’ve been reading a lot more and I love it! It’s become a regular occurrence in my morning routine and self care routine.
My books have all been of the same theme/genre. I love chick-lit type books like a rom-com storyline in it. They may not be the most realistic stories but they’re fun reads and really entertain me. Personally, I wouldn’t be able to relax and pamper if reading a horror book!
Currently I’m reading “Sorry not Sorry” by Sophie Ranald. I’m really enjoying her books right now and they’re very affordable on the iBooks store!
I love having a nice smelling room if I’m having a pamper night so it’s a pamper night essential for sure! I don’t really use a room spray for this! I use the Gilly Hicks body mists from Hollister. For a pamper night I like to use the relax mist which smells like lavender or the chill and breathe which smells of eucalyptus and mint. Both of these scents are very soothing and make me so much more relaxed than I usually would be!
Line up of YouTube videos
YouTube is my go-to on pamper nights. The channels I watch are so relaxing and therefore have become, once again, an essential. My favourite YouTuber is FreddyMyLove, she’s so girly and I adore her style! Recently, I’ve also been loving vlogs, my favourite channels are Sophia&Cinzia, Lidia Baylis-Zullo and Gemma Louise-Mills. They’re such easy and light-hearted watches and I love to see what other people get up to in their day-to-day life!
So these were the ultimate essentials for a pamper night! There are other less frequent things I use in my pamper nights but I wouldn’t necessarily class them as essentials as such.
