How is it September already? I’ll be back at university soon and that means that I’ll really be optimising my bullet journal’s weekly spreads again!
It also means that we can now start using Autumnal spreads that I love. This month, I haven’t gone crazily autumnal but I gave a subtle nod to the Starbucks PSL that returns every September!
So, as you may now have figured out, my theme is… coffee!
P.S… you’d already know my theme if you’d have signed up to my email list to get my free bullet journal checklist! You can sign up for that here.
So, now we’ve cleared that all up, let’s get into it!
Cover page
How cute is this cover page? I got the inspiration from this Instagram post from 2018!
I created this page on Procreate then transferred it onto goodnotes. If you’ve read my post on how to start a digital bullet journal, you’d know that my bullet journal is on Goodnotes but I like to create some of my spreads on Procreate. This is because Procreate is for artistic purposes so allows more freedom.
To create this cover page, I traced some of the features but I added some extra little touches by myself like the coffee beans!
My favourite part of this page though, is the title. I’m really pleased with how the calligraphy turned out. Since starting my bullet journal, my calligraphy has really improved and I’m so happy with it!
Monthly overview
I’m actually going quite happy with how this turned out! I got this idea from a YouTuber called Leyna who you can subscribe to here.
It’s very different to my usual monthly layouts, which is usually the same every month. (To see what they’re usually like, check out my August bullet journal. I’d never thought to do it like this but I love how it’s turned out!
To incorporate the coffee theme, you can obviously see that I used the Starbucks logo for the middle. I’m proud of thinking of this idea to fill in the middle circle, it makes it more interesting than leaving it blank!
Like the last page, I really like the title. I love doing the title styles like this, isn’t it so cute?
Mood tracker
Now this didn’t take long to create at all! I just copied and pasted the coffee cups 30 times! Usually when doing my bullet journal on paper, my mood trackers take AGES! My February bullet journal had a mood tracker that took so so long to draw out!
Recently, I’ve been contemplating doing a paper bullet journal again for a bit but it’s thinking about drawing out the mood tracker that puts me off!
Maybe, for August, I’ll have my trackers digitally and my weekly layouts on paper? I’ll see what happens. The only reason I’m thinking of converting back to paper is because I have more than half of an empty notebook that I need to use up!
But, back to this month, I do really like how this turned out. Also, unlike previous months, I spaced it out and chose the sizing a right. There’s nothing worse than having to squeeze in the last few because you haven’t done the sizes right.
Habit tracker
Now I don’t have many trackers this month in my bullet journal. The workout and gratitude is the same but this time I’ve added healthy eating. This was added due to the ridiculous amount of takeaways I’ve consumed recently.
So, on my Pinterest, I’ve been adding healthy recipes to a private board to try. I’m expecting it to be healthier when I go back to university. This is because, I go to my nan’s house a lot and she’s a feeder! Unfortunately, my self restraint isn’t very strong so when I’m back at uni, I’m going to ensure that I don’t have too many unhealthy snacks around!
As you can see, to incorporate the coffee theme, I’ve added a few coffee cup stains which I’m really happy with. It’s simple but in my eyes, also really effective.
This is my favourite way to set out a habit tracker now as it’s simple to use and fills the page more than previous ones like I used in my July bullet journal.
Gratitude log
Last month, I included this tracker and I’ve been enjoying it! It really helps me reflect on my life and how lucky I really am.
It’s also helped me with my law of attraction journey. I’ve recently been reading The secret which is also on Netflix. It’s really helped me open my eyes as to what’s possible and inspired me to start manifesting.
They mentioned how gratitude is essential for manifesting as you’re then focusing on what you do have rather than what you don’t.
Last month, this was the one spread I filled in every single day. I do usually fill them all in but often I forget and therefore have to catch up at a later date. For this spread however, I made the effort to do it every day.
Weekly spread
A very plain and simple weekly spread but these work best for productivity when I’m at university and it sets everything out for me in a way that I understand. It gives me a clear vision for the week and a little space for any notes I need to remember.
I’ve added in the coffee stains a little to make it more fitting to the theme but I didn’t want to take the attention away from the purpose.
This will also be the first time I’m using a digital planner for university so I’m really excited to see how well it works.
Really, it should work as well as a paper one but I just have a random feeling that it won’t…
And that, is my September bullet journal! What’s your September theme and what do you find yours most useful for?
