Fall is the perfect time to curl up on the sofa with a blanket, get up Netflix and binge shows.
The thing is though, you can’t just put on anything, can you? You want to something to make you feel more Autumnal or transport you back to Summer.
Whatever you decide, you’ll find your match in my top 10 Netflix shows!

1. Gilmore girls
I binged this series so quickly and I loved it so much.
The storyline follows a girl called Rory and her mother Lorelai. Lorelai is a single mom who has a strong addiction to coffee and Rory is an academically talented girl who’s dream is to attend Harvard university.
It follows both of their lives, such as Rory getting into new relationships and Lorelai arguing with her wealthy parents.
They live in a small town called Stars Hallow and the whole atmosphere of the show is cozy and wholesome. The show really grabs you and transports you into the storyline and town. You’ll laugh, cry and thoroughly enjoy this show.
2. Gossip girl
If you haven’t watched this yet, you need to!
It’s such an iconic show which follows a group of wealthy teens who are all under the watchful eye of the anonymous Gossip Girl.
This is a fairly high paced shows, especially in terms of relationships- everyone pretty much dates everyone and there’s a new scandal every episode.
I can almost guarantee that you’ll both love and hate every character at some point though some you may just simply hate…
If the plot isn’t the thing to entice you though, watch it for the fashion inspiration. Haven’t you heard of Blair Waldorf’s gorgeous fashion sense?
Maybe you can’t afford the $1000 pieces but there’s so many high-street fashion items that scream Blair Waldorf, such as headbands which recently made their way back into fashion…

3. Sex Education
I love this show and it does have an autumnal theme to it, making it perfect to binge this season!
It follows a boy called Otis who gives his peers advice on sexual matters whilst not being sexually active at all himself.
This is a very comedic show and I loved the storyline! My favourite character is definitely Eric, Otis’ gay best friend. He has such funny one liners that will get you every time.
It’s maybe not best to watch with your parents about (the first scene is a sex scene). I can be certain though, that you’ll watch it all so quickly.
My boyfriend and I finished the first season within a 24 hour time frame! There’s now 2 seasons available with a third season now confirmed.
Due to Covid, it’s not yet certain when this will be available.
4. Never have I ever
This is a recent show I discovered and binged all in one night! I was hooked!
It’s about an Indian girl who wants to start over and just be cool in high school. The plot is fairly basic but I just couldn’t help but watch it!
For some reason it just took a hold of me and I was so upset that I’d watched it as quickly as I had!
There will be a second season of this but again, it may be a while before it’s streamed. Before the second season, I will be definitely be re-watching the first season!

5. Nailed it!
This is basically sugar rush, but the opposite!
My sister and I binged this last summer but it’s perfect for any season, especially if you want a laugh.
It’s about home bakers who cannot bake to save their lives! They are given treats to make each round and there’s not been a single one yet that’s turned out well!
As well as the bakers being funny, the host, Nicole Byer, adds extra comedy to the whole show.
As well as the regular seasons, there’s also a Christmas one to binge in Autumn to get you in the festive season early!
6. Sugar Rush
If you’re a sweet tooth, you’d love to binge this show.
Bakers compete in the first round to make cupcakes based on the theme of the episode. After round 1, one team is eliminated.
The second round is confections, these are also based on the theme and can be anything but cupcakes essentially.
After the second round, another team is eliminated. So, 2 teams remain to battle it out in the final round.
However, the first two rounds are timed so any time they have left, is added to their final time to bake a huge show-stopper cake.
It’s this cake that decides the winner.
I love this just to see how creative the bakers can be. Never in a million years would I have thought to do what some of them do and the last cakes can either be amazing or a failure.
(One time, the final show-stopper cake had to levitate!!)

7. Friday night dinner
I’m not sure if this is available in the US but if you’re in the UK, you need to watch this if you haven’t already!
This show is very much raved about in the UK and for good reason. It’s a classic British sit-com with dry humour and bizarre characters.
(Almost) Every episode is set on a Friday and follows the Goodman family as they set out to have their Friday night dinner. Jackie (the mother) wants just a normal Friday night but it’s always made difficult by either Martin (her husband), the two children, Adam and Jonny to their next door neighbour, Jim.
Something always goes wrong and thanks to Martin and Jim especially, you’ll have a giggle at every episode.
It’s truly a good show to binge on those miserable autumn days to help you cheer up!
There are 6 seasons available but only 5 are currently on Netflix.
8. The good place
I haven’t yet finished this series but it’s a good one to binge on autumn days!
Eleanor passes away, and mistakenly ends up in the “good place” despite living a negative and mean life. She shouldn’t be there but realises that she has to stay there or else she’ll end up eternally suffering in Hell.
So, as well as hiding her past behaviours, she receives the help of her assigned soulmate Chidi, to help her become a better person. That way, she has then earned her place there.
Of course, it’s not as easy as it all seems as chaos breaks out due to a bad person, being in the “good place.”
Overall, this show is very entertaining and interesting so you won’t get bored!

9. Love is Blind
This one took everywhere by storm when it was released, and for good reason! The concept of this show is crazy!
Couples communicate from separate rooms with a door between them so they can’t see each other. They will then get to know each other blindly. Once they believe they’re in love. They can propose. Yes- get engaged before they even see each other!
Once engaged, they can then meet face-to-face for the first time. They then live together before the marriage and get married towards the end of the season.
My best friend and I binged this in a whole night last year and there was so much drama and confusion that we couldn’t stop watching!
It’s a binge-worthy Netflix series for sure!
I hope I’ve helped you decide what to watch this fall! What’s your fave Netflix series that you could binge watch over and over again?

Ahh so many good suggestions! I rewatched the entirety of Gossip Girl during lockdown, it really is the best. I’ve never watched Gilmore Girls! Need to add it to my list.

I actually haven’t watched the majority of these shows, besides Gossip Girl. I recently binge watched the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and it was the perfect autumnal show! Although no longer on Netflix, I’m also in the process of binge watching the US Office on Amazon Prime, it’s such an amazing show!
I’ve not heard many things about the US version!! Xx
Great list! Thanks for sharing. One of these days I will finish Gilmore Girls.
