How are we almost at the end of the year?!
It’s been such a long year but also it seems like the months have disappeared too! Despite a difficult year, I hope you’re all safe and well!
I’ll be travelling home soon to spend Christmas with my family. University will still run online though until the 17th so of course, I’ll need my bullet journal.
Christmas is my favourite time of year so I’m excited to share this theme! I also shared my December bullet journal in 2019 and 2018 so feel free to check those out too!
Cover page
So as you can see, I went with a candy cane theme for my December bullet journal! With some stars and festive coloured dots to decorate the empty spaces.
I’m really happy with my lettering this month, it’s really improved this year and I’m so pleased with myself.
Of course, I also outlined it with my gold metallic pen as gold, red and green are all traditional Christmas colours that I love!
I’m also aware that the candy canes aren’t perfect but at least you can tell what they’re supposed to be…
Monthly log
My monthly log is pretty similar to other months. I just have my calendar then my goals and events that I am yet to fill in.
In all honesty, I don’t utilise this page as much as I used to but I like having the calendar there to glance at in a rush.
To make it fit in with my December theme, the days are in a candy-cane style box and I have the dots scattering the page too.
Mood tracker
I love this page! Again, the candy canes aren’t perfect but I love the title and the little Santa hat in the corner.
Obviously, this fits perfectly with my December theme because it’s pretty much a whole page dedicated to candy canes!
If I’m being totally honest, I think this title is my favourite in the whole of my bullet journal so far! It’s very simple but I just think it fits the page so well!
I’m also aiming for amazing days all this month so I can colour all my candy canes in the traditional red colour! In November, I did have many more good days than bad so hopefully it’ll continue into this month!
Habit tracker
So this month, I went back to how I did my habit trackers in my digit bullet journal (check out my September bullet journal post for reference).
I did this spread as it’s simply quicker and takes up more space so I didn’t have to be overly creative with the doodles.
Strictly speaking, this doesn’t fit into this theme but Christmas is about snow too! Snow is also my favourite weather so I wasn’t going to not include it in my December spreads!
Like with the cover page, I’m really impressed with the lettering on this. Last year, I didn’t even have it close to as smooth as it is now! I’m by no means saying that mine is perfect but it has improved immensely.
Weekly spread
This is my favourite weekly spread of the month! I have a different design for every week but I’m only going to share my favourite!
I think the reason that I like this one so much is because of how festive it is! The candy canes with the stars and dots tie it into my cover page and the Christmas lights at the bottom are so colourful!
These spreads do take up some time but I find that I’m always much more motivated to fill in my journal if the spreads are pretty! Personally, I think it’s because I like looking at them and admiring my skill. I’m not creative at all so these spreads really end up impressing me.
I’d also appreciate if you ignore the little mistake I made. You probably won’t have noticed until I pointed it out but it stands out to me so much!!
Gratitude
Gratitude has become a huge part of my daily routine lately! I’ve been reading the book “the magic” and it’s all about having gratitude for everything. By doing this, you’ll attract more things to be grateful for into your life.
I write just one thing I’m truly grateful for each day in my bullet journal and whenever I properly practice gratitude, I feel better for the rest of the day.
The spread this month is very simple. Everything from the title to the details is very minimalistic and that’s because I focus more on the gratitude and don’t want any distractions.
At the bottom however, I have doodled some fairy lights just to make it a little more exciting.
And that, is my December bullet journal! What’s your theme for December?

I love how festive your bullet journal is! Mine is a bit boring at the moment, I really should make it more joyful and creative! x
Thank you! I love making mine creative! Xx
